Southeastern Conference coordinator of officials Steve Shaw will become the NCAAs secretary-rules editor for football starting next season.The NCAA playing rules oversight panel announced Tuesday it had approved the recommendation of Shaw to replace Rogers Redding.Redding is a former head of SEC officials whose term as the secretary ends in August. Shaw will begin a four-year term on Sept. 1.Shaw has been the head of officials for the SEC since 2011 and also the head of officials for the Sun Belt Conference since 2014.
